Tip : Practice Mindfulness
Worrying is usually focused on the futureon what might happen and what youll do about itor on the past, rehashing the things youve said or done. The centuries-old practice of mindfulness can help you break free of your worries by bringing your attention back to the present. This strategy is based on observing your worries and then letting them go, helping you identify where your thinking is causing problems and getting in touch with your emotions.
Acknowledge and observe your worries. Dont try to ignore, fight, or control them like you usually would. Instead, simply observe them as if from an outsiders perspective, without reacting or judging.
Let your worries go. Notice that when you dont try to control the anxious thoughts that pop up, they soon pass, like clouds moving across the sky. Its only when you engage your worries that you get stuck.
Stay focused on the present. Pay attention to the way your body feels, the rhythm of your breathing, your ever-changing emotions, and the thoughts that drift across your mind. If you find yourself getting stuck on a particular thought, bring your attention back to the present moment.

Fighting The Thoughts Brings Them Back Harder
There are many important things to realize about these unwanted thoughts. First and foremost, these thoughts mean nothing about who you are. Everyone has the occasional weird thought once in a while. The reason you have them more often is because your anxiety brings them back. Think of anxiety like a disease – it wants you to experience anxiety more, so it brings the thought back into your mind to cause you that anxiety. Anxiety also changes the way your brain works so that it’s harder to have positive thoughts, which also pushes these unwanted thoughts back into your mind.
Another important fact about these thoughts is that studies have shown time and time again that the more you try not to think about something, the more you think about it. It’s a phenomenon known as thought suppression. Your brain doesn’t want you to forget anything, so when you try to forget something it reminds you about it more than if you didn’t care about the thought at all. So every time you try not to have the thought, you actually increase the likelihood of having it again.
Finally, compulsions also make these unwanted thoughts worse. Behaviors that you do to stop the thoughts end up reinforcing them, because it acknowledges that they’re something that causes fear. That’s why it’s so important that you try to break the compulsions in addition to the obsessions.

Are There Foods That Reduce Cortisol
Yes, no and maybe. Some research suggests that foods like tea, chocolate and fish oils might lower cortisol. But such studies tend to be small and not very conclusive, Dr. Lin says.
Youre unlikely to balance cortisol levels by adding anchovies to your pizza or scarfing a block of chocolate, she says. But good nutrition can make a difference.
Cortisol interacts with neurotransmitters, the chemical messengers that send signals in the brain. Neurotransmitters play an important role in mood. And cortisol isnt the only compound that influences them. To make those neurotransmitters, you need all the raw ingredients: vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, Dr. Lin says.
The best way to get them is with a balanced, plant-heavy diet, such as the Mediterranean diet, she adds. A healthy diet is the underpinning of stress management.
A balanced meal plan can ensure youre getting the nutrients your body needs. And talk to your doctor about taking a basic multivitamin. Its a good insurance policy to make sure youre not deficient in any vitamins, Dr. Lin says.

General Advice For Spellwork
If youve cast spells before feel free to skip ahead to the next section, although a little refresher is never bad! If you want to learn a little more, check out this spell-casting 101 and this guide to manifesting.
- Spellwork relies on strong focus. The more you can focus on the outcome that you want, the more likely it is that your spell will work. Try and maintain your focus for as long as you can, and really imagine the feeling you would have when the spell is a success. In this case, think about how great you will feel when your anxiety has eased and you no longer feel fear. Capture that feeling in your mind and set your intention to that being the outcome of your spell. The stronger the focus and intent, the more likely it is that your spell will manifest in the way that you want it to.
- If your concentration slips, dont beat yourself up about it! Like with anything, being able to focus for any amount of time takes practice. Were all human and in my opinion, all easily distracted! If your focus does switch to something else, just gently try to move your mind back to your spell and continue as if nothing happened. I find meditating really helps with my concentration. There are some great resources on youtube about meditation. Maybe try doing a guided meditation in the mornings or evenings if you feel like your ability to focus isnt what it could be.

Here Is A Playlist Of The 10 Songs Found To Be The Most Relaxing On Earth Including One Where Scientists Witnessed A 65% Reduction In Participants Overall Anxiety And Stress
Each and every one of us have tried at last a few different techniques to combat stress or anxiety in our lives. Its not only helpful with making you feel better overall, but finding ways to manage stress levels is important for your health too.
Thanks to modern research, we now know the harmful effects of stress on the body. Stress causes chemicals like cortisol to be released, and increases serious health risks like heart disease, obesity, depression, digestive problems, asthma, and many others. Additionally, there was a recent paper published out of Harvard and Stanford that discovered something rather troubling- health issues from job stress alone cause more deaths than diabetes, Alzheimers, or influenza.
So whats the best way to take some of the pressure off? Dr. David Lewis-Hodgson of Mindlab International says we should listen to music- more specifically, one special song.
A team of neuroscientists, which Dr. Lewis-Hodgson lead, conducted a study on sound therapy. Participants had to attempt to solve puzzles, which induced stress, with sensors attached to their bodies. They then had to listen to different songs while researchers measured and recorded their heart rate, breathing, and blood pressure.
How To Reduce Cortisol Naturally
Dr. Lin stresses that a big-picture approach is key to maintaining healthy cortisol levels and feeling less stressed. These go-to strategies are good for the body and the mind.
Exercise benefits health from head to toe. So its no surprise that it helps with stress relief, too, possibly by reducing cortisol levels. Studies show, for instance, that exercise can bring down cortisol levels in the elderly and in people with major depressive disorder.
Almost nothing beats a good nights sleep. When youre not sleeping well, you tend to be more anxious, irritable and stressed, Dr. Lin says. Like exercise, sleep is important for health in all sorts of ways including managing stress and keeping cortisol in check.
Sleep deprivation may increase cortisol levels. The increased cortisol can impair memory, contribute to weight gain and even accelerate the aging process. In other words: Dont skimp on shut-eye.
Spending time in the great outdoors is a great way to lower cortisol and calm your brain. The practice of forest bathing essentially, hanging out in the woods and breathing the forest air can reduce cortisol levels and lower stress.
When it comes to de-stressing, cortisol is just one piece of the puzzle, Dr. Lin adds. No one food or pill can deliver you to blissful calm. But healthy choices can set your body up for low-stress success.

Duas For Worries Anxiety And Fears
Allah will do that which was ordained. However, it is important Tawakkul which means reliance-on or trust-in Allah. He who does not believe in the existence and absolute power of Allah will find it so difficult to trust or rely on him. If you had all relied on Allah as you should rely on Him, then He would have provided for you as He provides for the birds, who wake up hungry in the morning and return with full stomachs at dusk.
This first dua is to seek refuge with Allah from the difficult moments of calamity, for relieving hardships, afflictions and to seek protection from enemies. It is from Sahih Al Bukhari #6347.
Next, Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Masood narrates that whenever Prophet Mohammad used to be afflicted with any concern or stressful situations he would recite this supplication. This dua is recommended for relieving worries about the issues of your families health or wealth. Source: Tirmidhi
Third Dua, The Prophet said to Abu Talha, Choose one of your boy servants to serve me in my expedition to Khaibar. So, Abu Talha took me letting me ride behind him while I was a boy nearing the age of puberty. I used to serve Allahs Messenger when he stopped to rest. I heard him saying repeatedly, O Allah! I seek refuge with You from distress and sorrow, from helplessness and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, from being heavily in debt and from being overcome by men.
Subhan-Allah al-Azim .
