Let’s pray this over our stress as we read the Word of God: Lord, I confess that I have let stress take a hold of my life, rather than You. Help me not let the stress win out. Help me actively think on Your goodness to me.

Lord, thank you that you want us to cast our cares on you. Thank you that there is nowhere I can go that you are not there with me. A Prayer To Relieve Stress

Dear Father,

We humbly come before you, stretched and strained, trying with all our might to unclench our teeth, relax our shoulders, let go of the many things creating tension in ourselves and with others throughout our day.

But the truth is, you call us to come to you, not out of our own might and struggles, but out of your loving invitation to lay our burdens at your feet, and rest in the arms of Jesus. Because of your son, because of who you show yourself to be, we can know and believe that we are made whole and complete.

Through the indescribable power of Jesus death and resurrection, we no longer have to worry whether we are enough to face lifes challenges both big and small. Not only can we release our stress and worry to you, we can hope and rejoice that you make us victorious!

All the same, some days its hard for us in our humanness to remember the greatness of your power and victory over our infirmities. Because of this we pray for your loving grace and comforting hand to still our fast-beating hearts when we fail, or our circumstances fall apart. When disappointments or complications threaten our peace, we ask for your peace-giving presence to bring us back to that sweet spot of love and trust that is only found with you, so that we might go forward in worship and singing instead of fear and defensiveness.

Thank you for your heart for us, God.

In Your Name,Amen

Bible Verses For Stress At Work

Are you facing drastic changes in your career because of our countrys response to the Covid-19 pandemic? Are you back to the office, working remotely, or still unemployed? If you have returned to work, how have the new safety rules and regulations implemented to protect you, your colleagues, and customers affected your workplace environment?

As if work was not stressful enough before, we now have an invisible enemy, seeking to steal our health, income, and mental sanity as it adds to our anxiety. I am praying these Bible verses for stress at work can help.

The coronavirus hit my career right between the eyes. Being a Licensed Aesthetician , working in a medical office, I have always been blessed with a secure job. I have worked for my current physicians for over 18 years and have weathered economic recessions and depressions without losing too many patients in the process. The lull was usually short, and recovery came fairly quickly.

This was not the case with Covid-19 and its impact on our business. For the first time in my career, I was furloughed from my job and was not sure when I would be able to come back to work, if at all.

Give Yourself A Break And Get Help

Stop beating yourself up. Here’s a news flash: you are human, not ‘Super Christian.’ You live in a fallen world where problems are inevitable. The bottom line, we need to turn to God and to others for help.

Now that you’ve identified the problem you can take steps to care for yourself and get the appropriate help. If you’re not getting enough rest, take time to restore your physical body. Eat a proper diet, get regular exercise, and start learning how to balance work, ministry, and family time. You may need to find a support system of friends who have “been there” and understand what you’re going through.

If you’re sick, or working through a loss or tragedy, you may need to step back from your normal responsibilities. Give yourself time and space to heal.

In addition, there may be underlying hormonal, chemical, or physiological reason for your stress. You may need to see a doctor to work through the causes and cures for your anxiety.

These are all practical ways to regulate stress in our lives. But don’t neglect the spiritual side of the matter.

Bible Verses About Worry And Stress

The rush of our daily lives and the sheer length of to-do lists that we, because of our digital media world, complete too far into the night, is enough to stir anxiety in our hearts.

Add to that family and friend situations, work environments, political battles, financial obligations, and the brokenness of both others and ourselves. Is it any wonder that the percentage of people who need medical intervention for anxiety is growing more quickly than ever before?

Worry and stress are not good for us.

They fog our brain, raise our blood pressure, and often are at the root of a multitude of medical and mental health problems.

There are a multitude of secular books on controlling worry and stress. There are also many activities such as yoga and other forms of exercise that are important components to staying healthy and dealing with stress.

But we also need our faith. As Ive learned from my own experience, we can do all the right things within our own power, but still not find the healing we long for. Our souls long for more. We long for the wholeness that comes from the One who loves us and can do immeasurably more than anything we can do on our own.

Its why I learned that knowing Bible verses isnt only good for us. It is crucial to knowing God and thus discovering the fullness of His love and the power in His Word.

Spend Time Giving Thanks And Praise

A friend once told me, “I find that it’s almost impossible to be stressed and praise God at the same time. When I’m stressing, I just start praising and the stress just seems to go away.”

Praise and worship will take our minds off of ourselves and our problems, and refocus them on God. As we begin to praise and worship God, suddenly our problems seem small in light of the largeness of God. Music is also soothing to the soul. Next time you’re feeling stressed, try following my friend’s advice and see if your stress doesn’t begin to lift.

Life can be challenging and complicated, and we are much too vulnerable in our human condition to escape the inevitable battles with stress. Yet for Christians, stress can have a positive side too. It may be the first indicator that we have stopped depending upon God daily for strength.

We can let stress be a reminder that our lives have drifted away from God, a warning that we need to turn back and cling to the rock of our salvation.

Stress That Comes From The Unknown

Once we returned to work after two months, our practice had changed completely. While we are still blessed with a strong patient base, we have had to implement entirely new safety regulations. Because my work requires me to be close to the patient I am treating, I am in a mask for the entire eight-hour shift.

For most of the day, I am required to wear an N-95 mask, which is uncomfortable and difficult to breathe in, although the safest for myself and my patient. The level by which we disinfect our room remains strict, but now includes cleaning every surface in the room from chairs to light switches between every patient. Because I am concerned, not only for my patients safety but for mine as well, I am hyper-vigilant with this time-consuming step.

Every day, workers are faced with the challenge of going back to their jobs with an increased risk of exposure to a potentially deadly virus or not paying their bills. From teachers to waiters to dentists and grocery clerks, socially distancing is next to impossible.

Some employees are not concerned in the least about the risk to their personal health, while others are scared to death. The reality is we dont know much about this virus, how it spreads, and who is at risk of dying versus who will remain asymptomatic. Our personal view of the situation tends to be myopic, so we often struggle with the empathy necessary to understand another persons very real fears.

When I am afraid, I will trust in you. Psalms 56:3 CSB
