- Relationships. The only way around relationship conflict is to not have relationships . Conflicts like divorce, death or even arguments with friends can negatively impact well-being.

Im a self-employed bloke who has a tendency to get stressed, anxious and panicked even during the the smallest of lifes hiccups.
Early on in my life I knew Id have to figure out some techniques for beating stress. Now, I am not saying that I have mastered these techniques far from it but they have helped me a lot.
And as I know a lot of you lovely readers out there deal with bouts of stress and anxiety I thought Id write a bit of an off-topic post and talk about some ways bloggers, business people and everyone else online can beat stress when you just dont feel like its possible.

How Does Stress Affect Our Bodies
Stress can have a negative effect on our health because our bodies react to stressful situations physically as well as mentally.
Physical symptoms can include headaches, muscle pain, sleep problems, dizziness, feeling tired all the time or eating too much or too little.
When we feel stressed, our bodies release the stress hormone known as cortisol. Cortisol plays an important role in the body as it stimulates the liver to increase blood sugar production. This gives your body a burst of energy when you feel stressed to help you cope with the situation at hand.

When we feel stressed for a long period of time, were stuck in a permanent state of fight-or-flight and this can lead to feelings of anxiety. Youre left feeling on edge all the time.

Physiology Of Crying A Self
Why do we cry?
Scientists are not entirely sure why we cry. In an area near your eye is the lacrimal system. One part of the system creates tears. The other part lets the tears free by draining the liquid near the eye.
These tears keep your eyes hydrated when you blink. They also cover your eyes during allergies. But we are most interested in why strong emotions release tears surprisingly, scientists are still not entirely sure.
Some signs indicate that tears are meant to play a role in stress relief. For example, when you cry, your tears release leucine enkephalin, a natural painkiller. Other researchers have looked at whether crying is a self-soothing behavior capable of cooling the body and triggering coping mechanisms.

So the truth is that we do not entirely know why we cry, but we know that there are many potential signs that crying is simply a great way to cope with significant emotion. And when a person has anxiety, crying may be a much-needed coping response.

How Much Arousal Is Too Much
Its not necessarily a bad thing to be horny frequently. Sexual drive is a healthy thing, as is sexual activity.
But if you think your constant arousal is getting in the way of other aspects of your life, you may want to consider talking with a doctor or sex therapist. They can help you explore the function of your sexual behavior.
If arousal and the need to engage in sexual behavior feels mandatory, or you have a compulsive urge to act on them, you may need to talk about these underlying urges. This could be signs of a hypersexual disorder.
Of course, one persons constantly turned on may be very different from anothers. It helps to talk with a medical professional about these thoughts and desires. That way, you can get a handle on whether theyre typical, or if you need to seek treatment.
Build In Time To Stop & Relax
I often hear my clients say Come on, how on earth will I be able to make time for myself when I have so much to do? and I always reply, if you dont look after yourself you wont have the reserves to take care of all the other people in your life you take care of. When our reserves are low were cranky, overly sensitive and generally not as happy as we want to be. So please take some time each day, even if it only 10 minutes, to relax.
- Have a warm bath as this will help your body reach a temperature thats ideal for rest.
- Writing to do lists for the next day can organize your thoughts and clear your mind of any worrying thoughts that pop in to your head
- Relaxation exercises, such as light yoga stretches, help to relax the muscles. Dont exercise vigorously though, as it will have the opposite effect.
- Relaxation CDs can help as they use a hypnotic voice to guide you through muscle relaxation and soothing music and sound effects to relax your brain.
- Watching TV or any computer or phone screen keeps the brain engaged and active so it is harder to fall asleep. It is better to read a book or listen to the radio as that relaxes the mind by distracting it from the present worries.

Youre Not Setting Healthy Boundaries For Yourself
I get it – you want to make everyone else happy and you can’t stand the thought of someone not liking you. I was once a huge people pleaser too, and sometimes it can be hard to say no.
But what happens when you say yes to everyone and everything?
You leave no room for yourself.
When was the last time you truly did something just for yourself? …where you felt free to do whatever you wanted without having to think about everyone else?
Don’t overcommit yourself.
If you’re tired of feeling overwhelmed, you have to learn to stop putting so many things on your plate. Ask yourself what your top priorities are . But let’s be honest, we can not have 50 different top priorities.
You can do anything, but not everything all at once.
Make The Necessary Life
Your anxiety is much less likely to rear its ugly head in the future if you commit to making lifestyle changes that protect your body, mind and environment from damage.

Stress and anxiety are regular occurrences in our day-to-day lives. It can feel as though we are consumed by it. Stress occurs when one feels overwhelmed or cannot cope with a variety of pressures. Usually, these things all add up and feel unmanageable, causing stress. It is safe to say that we all feel stress at one time or another. But sometimes, it can feel like we are stressed about nothing, with no apparent reason to justify such an overwhelming emotion.
While it may feel as though you are stressed for no reason, stress is triggered. These triggers are internal and external stimuli that cause feelings of anxiety. You may not even be aware of some of these stressors and how they are affecting you, leaving you feeling like you are stressed for no reason. There is always a reason for your feelings of stress.
There are many ways stress can manifest itself. You are probably noticing that youre experiencing stress while not entirely sure of its root cause. You may be experiencing emotional changes due to increased stress levels, such as anxiety, depression, sadness, and frustration.
How Stress Affects Your Body/mind
Your adrenal glands are the heroes of your moment-by-moment response to pressure and stress.
- They are the size of a walnut and sit left and right at the top of your kidneys
- They make and secrete adrenaline , cortisol the stress hormone and other hormones.
- They turn processes automatically up and down 24/7 depending on need.
However, when the demands on you outstrip your resources, your adrenal glands, like two members of your 24/7 personal protection team, step up their protective processes. Theyre now constantly alert. Theyre beginning to feel the strain because they were designed in ancient times for short bouts of stress only to help you escape from marauding animals,
So, after a prolonged and highly stressful situation or event, the demand on your adrenal glands is above that which they were meant to do. No wonder then that your body/mind begins to buckle!

Stress Is Closely Related To Worry So Worry Less
So how do we worry less? Obviously easier said than done but the first step is to distinguish between worries that require your attention and worries that are unnecessary.
The following questions can help you clarify this:
Can I do something about this problem?
Is this something I always worry about, but nothing ever happens?
Is this something that has a solution?
Will my worrying make this situation better or worse or have no effect at all?
If there is something you can do about the problem, take action or consciously choose not to take action.
People often delay or avoid taking action or making decisions because they are worried about making a mistake.
If the situation is out of your control and there is nothing you can do, worrying does not make the situation better!
Tell yourself that your worries are not helpful and let them go. Again , I know this is easier said than done, but it can improve with practice.
It can help to challenge your thoughts about the worry and ask yourself:
Wheres the evidence for that? or
What would be so bad about that? or
Is this problem so important that I should spend all my time thinking about it?
